More spot weld grinding, cutting and cutting out of iron oxide, now ready to form the patch. Feels good to see positive progress

After a few weeks dodging the rain trying to spray my KE70 Sedan i finished it so now it's back to the '02, keen to really get stuck into the wire brushing, grinding,cutting and welding. Starting with the large hole in the firewall, the reasoning being that my first attempts at mig welding may not be the prettiest welds so somewhere out of sight was chosen!

Corolla came out pretty good, shame about the 4WD stance! 

Wire brush on angle grinder took the seam sealant off effectively

Carefully grinding off damaged steel leaving transmission tunnel untouched is the plan

All of a sudden! - Nothing happened

Spraying a DX Corolla at the moment, soon as that's sold I'm back into the 2002 - must think of a name for him/her! 

This is holding things up

Did order some panels from Walloth and Nesch, arrived in 7 days with no damage, got screwed for the GST though!
